Kindly be advised that in the event of insufficient registrations, the class may be subject to cancellation. Parents will be promptly notified with a 24-hour notice in such circumstances. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
About Art Classes
This camp will focus on our natural environment. Participants will have the opportunity to study and draw local plants, learn about our forests as they created colourful paintings, and collage together images of BC wildlife!
Each week children will learn different form of art. Here is the example of what will be taught during the classes -
Day 1 : PETALS IN PENCIL
Create a coloured pencil piece depicting BC's flora. Possible flowers! Wild rose, camas lily, salmon berry, honey suckle, blackberry, licorice fern, and more!
Day 2 : EXPLORE THE DEEP SEA
What lurks in the depths of our seas? Draw creatures like the giant pacific octopus, lions mane jellyfish, wolf eel, and colourful corals!
Day 3 : WHALES, SEA OTTERS, AND OTHER TAILS
What lurks in the depths of our seas? Glue, cut, paste, and paint from phytoplankton all the way up the food chain to an Orca!
Day 4: UNDERCOVER EARTH ART
Dig into this class and draw what lives under the branches of our rainforest. The decomposing leaf matter feeds on ecosystem of different insects, amphibians & invertebrates. This class is creepy, crawly and clever.
Day 5: WATERFALLS IN WATERCOLOURS
Dive in with our watercolour class and paint your very own Island Waterfall. Vancouver Island has some of the most spectacular waterfalls over 100 waterfalls have been documented. "Della Falls" is the largest waterfall towering in at 1456 feet.

Debra L. Thomlinson 30 yrs of experience as professional Wildlife Illustrator and Naturalist, Art instructor with city of Victoria and also now one of our staff members!

- All the supplies will be provided
- Bring your own snacks & water bottle
- Dress for an artistic mess
- Parents will be responsible for drop-in and pick-up
- Add to the cart the no. of children you would like to register.
- Registration Form will be sent via email after receiving the request.
- Limited spaces available. Waitlist will be maintained
